High school sweethearts Peter and Cathy Krakowski relocated to Naples in 2001 from Chicago, where he spent 32 years with Navistar International as an electrical engineer and manager. Peter and Cathy’s involvement in real estate and home building dates back to 1970, when they began building their own homes—literally.
Working alongside a general contractor, the couple performed many of the tasks themselves—from installing the electrical system and landscaping to painting and tile installation. Peter also built an apartment building.
The couple’s fondness for working with people led them to second careers in real estate. Peter has been selling homes in Southwest Florida since 2001. Cathy joined the team in 2006 after retiring from a 23-year career in customer service with United Airlines.
Mickey Gifford also hails from the Chicago area, where he worked in the engineering department at Ford Motor Co. while owning and managing several apartment buildings in the Midwest. Mickey decided to advance his real estate career when he retired after 30 years of service to Ford and moved to Naples in 2000. He got his start in real estate in 2001.
